Born in New Jersey but raised in Seoul, Jesse Hong is a dual citizen of the U.S. and South Korea. His exposure to the two cultures at a young age sparked an interest in languages and cultures, easily helping him decide to major in communication with a focus in public relations and a minor in Spanish at the University of Maryland.

After finishing his freshman year, Jesse decided to enlist in the Korean army and served as an ammunition specialist for two years. After being honorably discharged as a Sergeant, Jesse worked at the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) as a production coordinator, where he maintained contact with international clients. Shortly after, Jesse returned to Maryland to finish his studies.

As a fluent English and Korean speaker, Jesse hopes to work in a field that both bridges two cultures and integrates cross-cultural communication skills.
